I'm guessing you've been there: working out and sweating like crazy but seeing no results. No weight loss, no endorphins, none of the health benefits everyone says you're going to get from exercise.
The problem is that you need to choose the right kind of exercise.
As I told you in my last post ["How to Decide What to Eat (Whether You're Trying to Lose Weight or Not)]", nutrition makes the biggest impact, but exercise is a key component, and the right kind of exercise is a must.
Have you ever heard the saying "the body you want is made in the kitchen, not the gym"?
Or "you can't out-exercise a bad diet"?
Not only are they true, but they're a huge help in breaking free from yo-yo dieting or a really bad relationship with food and your body.
You've probably read those articles that tell us to drink a glass of water, chew ice chips, or eat some vegetables to curb a craving, right? Or wait 30 minutes and let it pass?
Did you laugh - or cry - at how unrealistic that is?
I know I have! Maybe it's just me but when I'm craving something, I can't get it out of my head until I eat it.
This is one of the most common conversations I have with people: They hate running and will never be able to do it.
Trust me, I used to be allll there in that belief too. Didn't know I could run more than a block until I was 46 years old. Even after that I tried for months but couldn't build more than a mile.... Until I met the man who's now my husband, an ultramarathon runner, and he gave me a bunch of tips.
Little by little, running started to get awesome.
